Reading

• Its recommended that children read 20 minutes a day to help improve literacy, reading and comprehension skills. We have access to Raz-Kids where students are able to read appropriately leveled books. Every student had log in information that has been sent home in their blue folder.

Home Reading

• Home reading has started. Students will have a Ziplock bag and be able to take books from school. Please return books as they are finished and fill out the tracking sheet below.

Place Value Games
Place value is an important part of our holistic understanding of numbers. Truly understanding what each number means and represents will help us as we continue into addition, subtraction and beyond. Here are a couple games to help with place value. In grade 2, we are working with tens and ones.
